At SWIRE, we believe recovery starts with connection. That’s why our work begins inside the jail and continues into the community, offering support at the very moment it’s needed most. Through peer recovery coaching, reentry services, and community partnerships, we walk alongside individuals and families as they rebuild lives with dignity, purpose, and hope.

-
Peer Recovery Coaching
Our peer recovery coaches use their own lived experiences to provide encouragement, accountability, and practical support. They walk alongside individuals in recovery, helping navigate challenges and celebrate victories.
-
Jail-Based Reentry Support
Recovery doesn’t have to wait until release. SWIRE begins working with individuals inside the jail to identify needs and provide access to recovery resources, and to build connections that will help people transition back into the community after a period of incarceration. This bridge of support helps remove barriers and increase chances of lasting recovery.
-
Community Support
We partner with local organizations to offer community education, family support, access to recovery and other community resources, and to build a community where recovery from substance use disorder is understood and supported, rather than stigmatized. By building a network of connection, we help individuals and families find belonging and tap into resources for every stage and pathway of recovery.
-
Advocacy & Education
SWIRE works to reduce stigma and raise awareness about substance use and recovery. We provide education, resources, and advocacy to ensure our community is better equipped to support people on their recovery journey.
